Project Overview:

This 2011 BMW 328i rolled into Euro Auto Tech & Smog with a frustrating electrical issue: the windows were stuck down, and none of the interior lights would turn on. For BMW enthusiasts and techs alike, this is a familiar scenario. The culprit? The Footwell Module (FRM) — the command center for lights, mirrors, and window operations. When this module fails, it brings electrical functions to a halt.

After a thorough diagnostic process, including fuse checks, power/ground verification, and connector inspection, we confirmed that the FRM was corrupted. We replaced and reprogrammed the module, fully restoring system functionality. Windows rolled up, lights came back on, and the customer drove away with everything working like new.
